देश पर मिटने वाले शहीदों की याद में

स्वतंत्रता दिवस पर विशेष

सन् 1857 के प्रथम स्वतंत्रता संग्राम के यज्ञ का आरम्भ किया महर्षि दयानन्द सरस्वती ने और इस यज्ञ को पहली आहुति दी मंगल पांडे ने। देखते ही देखते यह यज्ञ चारों ओर फैल गया। झांसी की रानी लक्ष्मीबाई, तात्यां टोपे और नाना राव जैसे योद्धाओं ने इस स्वतंत्रता के यज्ञ में अपने रक्त की आहुति दी।

दूसरे चरण में ‘सरफरोशी की तमन्ना’ लिए रामप्रसाद बिस्मिल, अशफाक, चन्द्रशेखर आजाद, भगत सिंह, राजगुरू, सुखदेव आदि देश के लिए शहीद हो गए। तिलक ने ‘स्वराज्य हमारा जन्मसिद्ध अधिकार है’ का उदघोष
किया व सुभाष चन्द्र बोस ने ‘तुम मुझे खून दो, मैं तुम्हें आजादी दूँगा’ का मँत्र दिया। अहिंसा और असहयोग का अस्त्र लेकर महात्मा गाँधी और गुलामी की बेड़ियां तोड़ने को तत्पर लौह पुरूष सरदार पटेल ने अपने प्रयास तेज कर दिए। 90 वर्षो की लम्बी संर्घष यात्रा के बाद 15 अगस्त 1947 को भारत को स्वतंत्रता देवी का वरदान मिल सका।

15 अगस्त भारत का स्वतंत्रता दिवस है। आजादी हमें स्वत: नहीं मिल गई थी अपितु एक लम्बे संर्घष और हजारों-लाखों लोगों के बलिदान के पश्चात ही भारत आजाद हो पाया था। देश पर मर-मिटने वाले हजारों शहीदो में से कुछ के संस्मरण इस अँक में प्रकाशित किए जा
रहे हैं।

We Indians are very proud to celebrate Republic day
Protected by soldiers in the border who never sway
Hear me, I just have few things to say
Reading this you may decide your own way

Over the years that has past
‘26th Jan is just another holiday’, I thought
With the very recent wisdom I have got
I salute the leaders who had fought

I hear the media ‘flash news’ and end up in tear
‘Will there be more news on bomb blasts?’, I fear
Horrible living in the midst of terrorism and war
Is this what the great Mahatma dreamt for?

Why blame the Politicians and Government who don’t repent
Hey! As an individual I wont relent
For the election freebies and compliments they recommend
I shall say ‘NO’ and will not bend

Let’s not watch the cricketer’s zeroes
And stay away from the Corruption bureaus
Our great Jawans have nothing but only sorrows
Let us bow our heads for those real life heroes

Pay your tax, be very brave, take the wise decision today
Don’t you wish your grand children to happily play?
We Indians are very proud to celebrate Republic day
Protected by soldiers in the border who never sway
