Google SketchUP
Many must be knowing about this but still I am offering some the information about it here. Though it has lots of things which is not possible for me to list here but I think those who don’t know about it, I can guide them about it.
According to Google’s website, google sketchup is a 3d modeling software which is easy to learn, fast, smooth & flexible. It is available in two version.
- Google SketchUP (Free)
- Google SketchUP Pro (USD 495)
The free version still consist of lots of feature which you after learning you may really feel delighted. They says that it is very easy to learn, moreover it is small in size, its almost 32 mb in size and it is very small considering it a 3d modeling software. For the instance Google sketchup lite is just like a demo version but with lots of features and a normal layman can still make a lot of use from it. I think many would have upgraded to PRO version after using lite one. Nice work from google.
The Pro version, as name suggest is Google Sketchup with more features and addition & targeting the Professional person directly. You have to pay USD 495 to get it, alternatively, use lite version and if you find it OK and useful then upgrade to PRO.
First Time Running Google Sketch UP

Installing Sketchup is very easy and simple. Download it from their website : http://sketchup.google.com/download.html
Run the installer and in 2-3 minutes it is ready to use. First time running it open with 2 options, choose any because later on you will understand the difference between two, though I knew it already as I had training classes for 3d animation for a while. (That’s another story that l left and decided to get into programming instead).
Next important step is to take the tutorial and after that you will feel a lot comfortable.
Add Ons : Bonus Packs
They have a option to add pre-drawn objects, they call it BONUS PACKS, these are premade model, you can use them whenever you want.
They have nice collection to download.
You can get it here.
If you do not find your material of interest then you can even search at premade list by users as well..
Here : http://sketchup.google.com/3dwarehouse
There you will find a lot of premade models made by users as well also uploaded by Google itself.
System Requirement
System requirements are pretty standard as a 3d modelling software but can be also on 128 mb RAM, 128 mb Disk space and a 600 MHZ processor. Remember, its minimum requirements as described by Google. Higher the better, means any recent computer system can run it effectively. It is also available for MAC os.

I tried to use the Photobucket option and I tagged my pictures with a unique specific tag as to not “confuse” the slideshow and insert pics that wheren’t mine. However I used multiple key words and nothing shows up how long does it take?
