How to use new orkut face/look (Review)

Yesterday Orkut rolled out much awaited new looks to ORKUT.
They Named it : True Blue Simplicity
Orkut, a social networking website from Google. It is one of the most accessed website in the world and top social networking website in Brazil & India.
So here is the new looks :

But seems it is lot different than the one we were expecting earlier. See the older report : New Orkut Looks On the Way.
Here is the older one which we expected to see on upgrade. May be they will roll out it later.

Lets talk about new one which ORKUT has finally launched.

They have sticked to Blue, which is infact one of my favourite color too in terms of making a eye candy website. Nice move. But the shade of blue is lightened hence making it now eyecandy, earlier it was little hard to eyes ie. old blue color of orkut.
They have introduced rounded corners which is usually standard on all new website, tab sort of menu, new icons and yes .. most important one, they have changed places of various navigation items in order to make it more user friendly.

First improvement was the placement of ScrapBook link on the top navigation area, now it is available every page while you browse orkut, means easy and friendlier access to scrapbook anytime.

Second noticeable improvement is placement of “EDIT PROFILE” link, earlier it was only available under your profile view but now its available on launching page ie. page which comes right after you logged in.

Another one is the addition of Manage button right below your friends list, making it easier to manage friends.

But there are few changes which I do not liked such as new way of placing list of friends whose birthday is near. It actually makes it looking cluttered.

There are few other changes out there like new place for “Approval button” for new members in your community.

All in all, I liked the new look and it was much awaited, but I don’t think google is going to stop, may be they will change it soon.

NOTE: New look is not available to everyone, if you are not having it then wait for a while, in few weeks you will have too it in your ORKUT.
